Although this problem can not be labeled as the most common one, it does not help us in the event that the problem actually arises. We’ve provided you with some helpful tips on how to take care of your iPhone and iPad chargers without having to drive to Apple stores and spend extra money.
Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that our tips will work 100%, because it is possible that serious damage has occurred and only Apple can repair it. The cable may be corrupt, but for the purposes of this article we assumed that you have already tried a new cable.
1. Turn off your iPhone
First, turn off your phone and prepare a hand lamp. Divide the lamp into the charging port and find any particles that could block the normal operation of the charger. Remember, for example, the powder not only stays in the opening, but is additionally anchored at every press of the charger. Pay special attention to the side walls and the rear wall of the entrance. Gently shake the device, but do not blow it.
2. Serious tools
If you have the option, use a compressed air cylinder. Here you will need some kind of stick to remove dirt, but it is not recommended to use metal cases. It is very convenient, for example, (not yet used) toothbrush to reach the deep and narrow areas of the entrance. Then use compressed air to remove the displaced particles from the charging port.At this point, you may notice that material comes from the entrance. Also, if this does not happen, try plugging in the Lightning cable, and when your device is recharging, do not try anything more, but just try to make it work again. Either way, pay attention to the top and rear part of the input where the Lightning connectors are located: aim the portions of the input, which you know you can not damage with the selected gadget.
3. Emergency exit
This point really comes to an end when we do not see any other way out and when we have tried all the other ways of solving the problem. If you do not agree with this step, do not try to force it.So, you will need a sewing needle, and you will use a curved, round part to clean the charging inlet. Very gently slide on the back of the Lightning sponge. Again, it may happen that you will notice a drama or small particles coming from the opening. These particles can be so small that we are no longer sure that we have seen it properly. We begin to wonder if we have decided on a piece of metal from the charging port.In one of the tests carried out by AppleInsider, after the first needle cleaning test, things were moved in the right direction, but the Lightning cable still did not fill the device, the good news was that it went deeper inside. They continued with gentle cleansing and after a few minutes the cable was connected normally, and the iPhone was charging as if nothing would be wrong.
4. Call the experts
If you have tried charging with a proven cable, and if you have carried out all of the above cleaning cleaning tricks, but the charger still does not work, it’s time to seek professional help. It may be an authorized repairer who will probably hold the phone for some time and, after all luck, return it in an active state. In the event of a hardware failure, unfortunately, cleaning and similar grips will not help much.
